Complete and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid, the FAFSA, as early as Oct. 1 every year.

You’ll use earlier income and tax information.

For the 2017–2018 FAFSA, students will be required to report income and tax information from an earlier tax year. For example, on the 2017–2018 FAFSA, you — and your parent(s), as appropriate — will report your 2015 income and tax information.

What is Money Matters?

Money Matters is an initiative with the College of Central Florida Financial Aid office to help students gain a better understanding of finances. Through workshops and events, the Financial Aid team works to help students create budgets, plan for college and post-college financing, and assist with applying for Federal Student Aid.

For more information about Money Matters, how you can get help with managing your finances, and help understanding financial aid, contact the Office of Financial Aid at askfinancialaid@cf.edu (please include your name and your CF student ID number) or 352-873-5801.
