Community School of the Arts

The College of Central Florida Visual and Performing Arts Department is dedicated to the school's mission of promoting the cultural development of our community. CF’s Community School of the Arts is committed to providing high-quality private or group instruction by college level faculty to young people interested in making music an important part of their lives.

Private instruction and group lessons are available for students in grades K-12 and interested adults and are held in CF’s beautiful Dassance Fine Arts Center. Our instructors are skilled teachers in their disciplines who hold advanced degrees and have accomplished performing and teaching careers.

Private instruction is available on most instruments and for vocalists. 

Tuition Rates

Registration Fee: $25
Lessons are one-half hour: $17
  • Program A (13 half-hour lessons, one per week) $221
  • Program B (10 half-hour lessons, one per week) $170
  • Program C (6 half-hour lessons, one per week) $102

All of the instructors are on faculty with the College of Central Florida’s Visual and Performing Arts Department. They are credentialed at the standards recommended by CF’s accrediting agency, the Southern Association for Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. These instructors specialize in gaining the skills needed to pursue a higher education degree in the arts.
