The Career Pathways Program
Career Pathways is a program that offers high school students the opportunity to earn college credit by successfully completing career and technical courses (electives) while in ninth through twelfth grades. In addition, the program affords graduates of any age from public technical institutions opportunities for college credits.
A Head Start
Career Pathways helps students to plan for college and a career by providing hands-on training and experience, allowing them to make educated choices about their future based on their passions and talents. Program completers can earn college credit toward an Associate in Science degree.
Save Time and Money
High school students who have completed three courses within the same Career Pathways track and have maintained a B average in those courses are considered program completers. Program completers have the opportunity to earn free college credits simply by showing competency in their completed Career Pathways track. Students who can successfully show competency will be awarded credit on their college transcript toward an Associate in Science degree, saving them money and time.
