Career and Technical Certificate
Begin or Enhance Your Welding Career
The program is available with full-time or part-time options. Classes are held during the day and in the evening and run Monday through Thursday.
Welding students will prepare for industry certification and employment as welders and flame cutters, tack welders, welder assemblers, arc cutters, arc welders, combination welders and production line welders. The program provides supplemental training for individuals previously or currently employed in these occupations.
The Welding Technology Career and Technical Certificate is designed to be completed in three semesters, spanning 1,050 clock hours. In this program, you will learn the basics of safe and efficient welding practices. The certificate also includes lessons on communication, leadership, human relations and more, preparing you for employment.
The Advanced Welding Technology Career and Technical Certificate is designed for students who have completed the Welding Technology Career and Technical Certificate or already have experience as welders. The 750-clock hour program focuses on enhancing welding skills, with emphasis on pipe welding techniques.
