Wind, Symphony and ChoirAt CF, you can pursue specialized theoretical and applied musical studies. This will prepare you to transfer to a four-year institution to continue to study music education, music performance, music therapy, music engineering, arts administration, and more! CF students can also explore musical interests at a beginner’s level by taking Fundamentals of Music, Class Voice, or Class Piano. There are many performance opportunities as well, with over 16 performances happening on campus and in the community each semester. Directed by Jason Longtin, associate professor, music, "Chicago" is a musical crime comedy-drama. It explores the themes of celebrity, scandal and corruption in Chicago during the Jazz Age. "Chicago" centers on two murderesses, a vaudevillian and a housewife, who find themselves in jail together awaiting trial in 1920's Chicago.

The musical is based on the book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, based on the play by Maurine Dallas Watkins, script adaptation by David Thompson. "Chicago" is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc. a Concord Theatricals Company. "Chicago" includes adult content, simulated gun shots and is recommended for audiences age 14 and up.

Adult tickets $12, non-CF students $6, free for CF students, faculty and staff with valid ID. Call the CF Box Office at 352-873-5810, purchase tickets on line at Tickets.CF.edu or visit the Box Office located in the lobby of the Dassance Fine Arts Center, open Monday-Friday, 1-4 p.m. Handicap seating and companion seating is available.
